Role: Sr. Software-Defined Radio (SDR) Software Developer

Seeking a radio frequency (RF), communications, and digital signal processing (DSP) software developer for software-defined radio (SDR) applications. This position will be responsible for algorithm development in a reconfigurable and adaptable signal processing platform targeting cybersecurity solutions for commercial and military markets that demand real-time, high- performance, computation-intensive hardware & software.



Requires a deep and broad understanding of RF wireless communications standards (WiFi, Cellular, etc. up to 6 GHz), RF analog hardware, DSP algorithm development, and efficient real- time system implementation. Lead the design, build, testing, and deployment of physical-layer cybersecurity systems using software-defined radio and associated frameworks, including field programmable gate array (FPGA) technologies. Responsible for the design, development, construction, testing, and maintenance of software processing components; subsystems of communication, collection, processing, and analysis systems.

Assist with the development of new advances in SDR interface engineering and novel applications of telecommunication standards, protocols, and topologies for out-of-band and in-band cybersecurity applications. Design for service-oriented architectures capable of microservice development & integration.

Design requirements span:

  • RF reception, acquisition, demodulation, and baseband signal processing & analysis

  • Baseband signal creation, processing & analysis, modulation, and RF transmission

  • Digital up/down conversion & channelization

  • Channel estimation and compensation

  • Offset estimation, tracking, and compensation

  • Physical layer (PHY) signal processing and injection

  • Error correction coding and decoding

  • 3D graphics

  • Host-based & embedded signal processing systems

  • Noise immunity
